WebAug 18, 2009 · I have an 04 f-350 early build 6.0 that is hard to start when cold. after setting over night, when you go to crank it, it fires then dies immediately. Turn the key to off then back on, wait for the plugs, and it does the same thing again. It does this 3 or 4 times before it finally fires and stays running. WebMar 2, 2024 · F250 6.0 05 year. When cold (19F) it cranks but it not start. When it is 41 F it starts perfect. I bought new 8 glow plugs, new GPCM , new harness on both heads.

It has always started but runs rough until warm no matter if it's 30 deg. or 100 deg. outside temp, obviously worse in the colder months especially if not plugged in.
